Like my grandfather, I’m driven by empathy and find joy in crafting meaningful experiences for people who need them.

I’m a multidisciplinary designer currently focused on design systems, with 20+ years of experience across creative direction, visual design, animation, and front-end development.

I’m most energized by work that brings design and engineering closer together. Whether I’m shaping a design system, improving product workflows, or building custom tools, I care about making things that are useful, logical, and grounded in how people actually work. The best outcomes reduce friction and make good work easier to do.

2022 - Present

Carrier

Lead Designer / Air Design System

As Lead Designer at Carrier, I own and lead the full lifecycle of the Air Design System, from strategic direction to hands-on prioritization, championing adoption and fostering a culture of advocacy and shared ownership.

Scaled the Air Design System across React Native and Web, evolving the component library, visual language, and patterns while leading system principles, accessibility standards, and production-ready solutions in collaboration with product and engineering.

Applied user research and testing to inform direction and prioritization across major releases, delivering scalable solutions that serve diverse users — technicians, dealers, building managers, and homeowners — spanning residential and commercial experiences.

Defined and governed design system standards; authored comprehensive guidelines, and specifications, in close partnership with engineering.

Expanded Air's reach beyond design tooling by building custom Figma plugins, implementing Figma Code Connect, and developing a custom MCP server that makes the system natively accessible to AI-assisted development workflows.

Mentored designers and engineers at all levels to become design system advocates, fostering a culture of quality, consistency, and collaboration across Carrier products.

Bayer Crop Science

Senior Product Designer / Element Design System

Collaborated with product owners, designers, engineers, user researchers, and cross-functional partners to help unify Bayer’s design system, Element.

Built and refined interactive components, variants, and theme libraries in Figma using atomic and human-centered design principles.

Developed documentation, guidance, and best practices for components, styles, and patterns, and partnered closely with engineers to QA work and maintain 1:1 parity across React and Vue libraries.

Brought empathy to the contribution model so designers and developers felt heard, supported, and better equipped to focus on product-level problems and deliver high-quality work consistently.

New Balance

Product Designer

During a maternity leave contract, I collaborated with the UX team and Product Owners on a variety of user research initiatives for newbalance.com, leveraging competitive analysis, market research, and consumer survey feedback/data to deliver design-centric solutions.

2014 - 2020

Infinite Laundry

Design Lead

Provided user-centered design and consulting across research, wireframes, storyboards, and low- to high-fidelity prototypes.

Partnered with product owners, project managers, and developers to design and validate features that improved conversion and lead generation, while presenting interactive concepts to stakeholders for review and feedback.

Also led the design team in delivering effective digital and print solutions for clients and supported front-end development across multiple CMS platforms.

These efforts helped increase lead conversion by 90% through split testing, SEO optimization, and UX best practices, while improving user experience and contributing to year-over-year revenue growth.

Directed the overall creative process, from original concepts to final implementation.

Design lead and brand protector for all projects, including conference websites, mobile apps, media kits, infographics, ad campaigns, print collateral and event signage.

Sourced and supervised freelancers to complete various projects and deliver quality work under tight deadlines.

Interactive Art Director

Crafted digital solutions for a wide range of marketing and integrated communications needs while leading a team of designers to deliver effective interactive experiences.

Partnered closely with clients to align design goals with marketing objectives and audience needs, and used wireframes, storyboards, and mockups to communicate ideas clearly.

Led whiteboarding sessions with cross-functional teams, collaborated with developers to explore new technologies and solve technical challenges, and developed custom WordPress themes and content types.

Senior Interaction Designer

Designed and developed artist websites, ecards and games.

Created interactive components for the Digital Rodeo social media project, including a multi-album shopping cart.

Built prototypes to demonstrate and test recommendations.
